Mixtape Review: Kilo Kish – K+

Twenty two year old Kilo Kish is an amazing songstress from Florida, but currently resides in New York. Kilo Kish may be most known for her frequent collaborations with Odd Future. Her latest release is an EP entitled, “K+.” It’s a blend of smooth melodic flows, hip-hop, and R&B.

Black History Moment: Camilla Williams

Camilla Williams was the first African-American woman to receive a contract with a major U.S. opera company. Her major debut was for the New York City Opera in 1946. Williams played Cio-Cio-San in Giacomo Puccini’s “Madama Butterfly,” which gained her immediate adoration from critics.

The Herd stampedes over the Aggies

The N.C. A&T baseball team could not find their rhythm offensively on Sunday afternoon at War Memorial Stadium, as the Marshall Thundering Herd dominate the doubleheader to win the series. The Herd won the first game 16-3 and defeated the Aggies 3-0 in the second.

‘Beautiful Creatures’ not so pretty at box offices

What a beautiful disaster, “Beautiful Creatures” hit movies theaters last Thursday, Feb. 14, 2013 and came in sixth at the box office over the weekend. Warner Bros studio grossed a disappointing $7,460,000 since the release date of its new movie, starring Alice Englert, Alden Ehrenreich, Emma Thompson, Viola Davis, and Jeremy Irons. Writer- director, Richard LaGravenese’s movie was based off a young adult series written by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl.

Safety Protocol

Each time a fire alarm is triggered in any building on A&T’s campus, there are certain safety protocols that students and faculty must abide by. Due to the amount of times the alarms in Villages 4 and 6 go off, students do not always follow the safety protocol that A&T’s University Police Department have put in place.
